Capture the underwater world the way you experience it. The Digital Underwater Photographer course is designed to help you take photos you’ll actually be proud to share—whether you're shooting on a GoPro, compact camera, or more advanced setup.

Academics:
Complete your PADI eLearning at your own pace (2–4 hours) before meeting your instructor
Learn the fundamentals of composition, lighting, shooting angles, and underwater photographer etiquette
With Your Instructor:
2-day course
Two open water dives focused on hands-on photography practice
Apply the SEA method (Shoot, Examine, Adjust) to improve your shots in real time
What You'll Learn:
How to use underwater strobes and lighting effectively
How to photograph marine life respectfully and skillfully
How to choose the right underwater photo equipment
How to avoid backscatter and improve image clarity
Techniques to enhance color and sharpness underwater
Tips for shooting both photos and video (including action cameras like GoPro)
Requirements:
Minimum age requirement: 10 years old
Certified as a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
Good physical health (medical clearance may be required depending on history)
Transportation:
Each student is responsible for their own transportation to and from dive locations
(Pick-ups available for an extra $20 per person)

Educational materials and instruction
Certification card processing

Not Included:
Transportation to and from dive locations (Pick-ups available for an extra $20 per person)
