Marine Biologist x Storyteller
I’m a multidisciplinary creator driven by a deep connection to the ocean and a passion for storytelling. As a scuba instructor, marine biologist, photographer, and content creator, my work lives at the intersection of adventure, science, and art—capturing and sharing the beauty of both the natural world and human experience.
From a young age, I was drawn to the ocean and creative expression. What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a lifelong path—one that now allows me to explore, document, and teach others about the underwater world. Through diving, photography, and video, I’ve developed a style that blends authenticity with intention, always aiming to evoke emotion and connection.
My work is inspired by nature, and shaped by experience. Whether I’m guiding divers, creating content, or building my own business, I strive to create meaningful experiences and tell stories that resonate. I believe in capturing moments as they are—raw, beautiful, and real—while highlighting the extraordinary within them.
At the core of everything I do is a commitment to growth, creativity, and impact. I’m constantly evolving—exploring new ideas, refining my craft, and pushing boundaries across industries. Beyond the creative, I’m deeply passionate about ocean conservation and sustainability, using my platform and work to advocate for the protection of our planet and inspire others to care for it.
Research & Conservation
A multi-disciplinary marine scientist, scuba instructor, and ocean storyteller, Gabriella Abouhassan’s work centers around coral reef ecosystems, conservation, and the human impact on our oceans. With a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and Environmental Sustainability, she combines scientific knowledge with real-world field experience to better understand and protect these complex and rapidly changing environments.
Through her work on Oahu, Hawai‘i and Miami, Florida, Gabriella has led and contributed to coral restoration efforts, ecological monitoring programs, and community-based conservation initiatives. As the founder of her own dive business and Dive Safety Officer at the nonprofit ocean Alliance Project, she is passionate about creating accessible pathways for others to connect with and give back to the ocean.
Blending science, adventure, and visual storytelling, Gabriella uses underwater photography, videography, and social media to share the beauty of the marine world while inspiring action and awareness. Her work bridges the gap between research and real-world impact—empowering local communities, educating divers, and advocating for the future of our reefs.
Photography & Filmmaking
After witnessing the rapid decline of marine ecosystems firsthand, Gabriella expanded her role beyond science into advocacy, using storytelling as a powerful tool for ocean conservation. As an underwater photographer, videographer, and content creator, she documents the beauty and fragility of the ocean to inspire awareness and action.
Her work has taken her across Hawai‘i, Greece, Florida, Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Egypt, where she has explored a wide range of marine environments. capturing everything from vibrant reefs and marine life to conservation efforts in action. Through her dive business and creative work, Gabriella produces content for brands, tourism, and conservation initiatives—blending education with visually compelling storytelling.
Driven by a passion to explore, document, and protect the ocean, she uses her platform to connect people to the underwater world in a meaningful way. By sharing real experiences—from coral restoration to remote dive sites—Gabriella brings audiences closer to the issues facing our oceans today.

Through her dive business, Gabriella curates personalized, low-impact ocean experiences—from private guided dives to training and conservation-focused programs.
Entrepreneur
A driven and multi-passionate ocean professional, Gabriella has always sought innovative ways to merge science, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Rather than following a traditional path, she built her own platform—combining her background in marine biology with her skills in diving, photography, and content creation to create a career. Alongside her work in the ocean, she has also developed her own merchandise line and digital artwork collection, using design as another creative outlet to share her love for the sea.
Through the launch of her dive business and conservation initiatives, Gabriella has created opportunities not only for herself, but for others to engage with the ocean in meaningful ways. Her work is centered around accessibility, education, and sustainability—designing experiences that allow people to explore the underwater world while contributing to its protection.
Blending business with environmental responsibility, Gabriella continues to expand her brand through storytelling, community-driven programs, creative collaborations, and thoughtfully designed products. Her mission is to prove that it’s possible to build a career that supports both people and the planet—while inspiring others to do the same.
